Relations and Ministry of Culture and Communications, $4000 Canadian ($2467 US),
to complete Go Figure, a translation of Va savoir by Quebecois
novelist Réjean Ducharme, by 31 December 2002, for publication by Talonbooks,
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Funded one course release in fall 2002.
Faculty Research Associates Grant, fall 2001, Office of Research
Administration, Boise State University, $4950, for continued support of the
research project entitled, "Go
Figure: Translating Va savoir
by Quebecois Novelist Réjean Ducharme." Funded two courses of released
time in fall 2001; created the opportunity for the successful completion of the
first draft of the translation of the novel (267 pages) on 5 December 2001.
Research Fellowship Grant, 1999-2000, Idaho Humanities Council, $3500, for
the purpose of initiating the research project entitled, "Go
Figure: Translating Va savoir
by Quebecois Novelist Réjean Ducharme." Funded one course release in fall
2000 and airfare to present a paper at the biennial conference of the American
Council for Québec Studies in Montreal, October 26-29, 2000.
