Do you already have language skills In Arabic, ASL, Basque, Chinese, French, German, Japanese or Spanish? Boise State University grants CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING if you can demonstrate those skills. Here is a general overview on how to do so. Be sure to consult with your Academic Advisor. |

You must be enrolled at Boise State University to apply for Credit for Prior Learning. You must be enrolled at Boise State University for the semester in which the credit is granted. You must complete 12 credits at Boise State University before the credit will be recorded. Students may not challenge a course to improve a grade or replace a grade of PASS. Up to 8 credits earned will count toward the Area I Core requirement. |

For French, German and Spanish: take the Placement Exam in the Assessment Center, TS 115. Call 426-2762 for the current schedule. The exam costs $5. You will need your student ID card.
